In accompaniment to this we have a selection of specials which can be found within the pub on our handwritten specials board.

The menu is the same regardless of whether you choose to dine in our cosy, fire-lit bar, or our bright and light restaurant.

During lunchtimes we also offer sandwiches, toasted sandwiches and ploughman's. Our selection of starters and bar-bites also make for superb light lunches. However on Sunday's, we choose to concentrate on our traditional Sunday roast.

Here you find our Sunday lunch menu, which achieved 2nd Place in the 2011 Observer Food Awards, in the category 'Best Sunday Lunch'. Also winning the Maston’s best creative menu and food award in 2019. So we are still going strong.

The menu has remained almost unchanged since opening and feature slow-roasted belly of pork, braised shoulder of lamb and now featuring roast chicken (stuffing included!).

It should be noted that our Sunday Menu is liable to change ever-so slightly, however our core roast dishes will always be available.

We highly recommend booking in advance in order to avoid disappointment!

The ever-popular French Night offers a varied choice of traditional French dishes. From a fixed price menu that changes week by week you can enjoy a three course meal for £24, which includes a complimentary glass of red or white wine.  French fancy dress welcome!

It should be noted that our French Night Menu is liable to change ever-so slightly, and may not contain the exact dishes described below.

French Night Vouchers.

In the face of multiple requests for vouchers for French Night to support various local and charitable events, we decided to produce a voucher for all. The voucher is available for purchase within the pub only, and makes a worthwhile gift for any French Night fan, Francophile or taunting French Knnnnnig-ht.
